Avenir Telecom retains Investors in People standard

Avenir Telecom is pleased to announce that it has recently retained the prestigious Investors in People (IiP) Standard - which it originally achieved in 2005. IiP is the national award that sets a level of good practice for training and development of staff to achieve the goals of the organisation. Retaining the Standard is one of the key objectives of Avenir Telecom's corporate strategy.

As well as developing employees alongside the organisation’s objectives, Avenir Telecom also supports its dealers to grow their own businesses. It offers tailored recruitment packages to help dealers to find new or additional staff, advertise posts more effectively, find suitable candidates quickly and to run recruitment and assessment events which they might not have the time, experience or skills to do themselves.

Apart from investing in its people to develop its business, Avenir Telecom also believes in giving something back. Each month one of its teams selects a charity and the rest of the organisation supports them to raise money. Last year the company raised an amazing amount for a wide range of charities including the Japanese Tsunami relief fund, cancer, leukaemia and heart charities, Help for Heroes, the Red Cross and Noah’s Ark - a local children’s hospice.

Andy Tow, Managing Director, commented “The IiP Standard is a great reflection of our way of working at Avenir Telecom, and proves that not only are our products and services great our people, and the dealer networks we have developed are performing at the very best levels too.”

He continued “I am immensely proud of the team and am grateful, on behalf of our customers too, for the professionalism and results they bring to the organisation. IIP provides a solid foundation for celebrating where we’ve got to and ensuring our organisational growth into the future.”
