Distributor Avnet Technology Solutions UK has announced that it has introduced a series of new initiatives designed to support Avaya and boost sales of the company’s end-to-end unified communications solutions. This latest move follows the contract awarded to Avnet during 2010 to distribute Avaya’s complete portfolio of data, contact centre and unified communications solutions in the UK.
Avnet has put in place a support programme for Avaya which encompasses the provision of office space and deployment of the latest Avaya technology in Avnet’s ‘THE resource’ demonstration centre, as well as specialist training and education on new Avaya products and markets. Avnet’s regular technology boot camps and knowledge transfer days have brought considerable value to heritage Nortel data partners and traditional Avaya partners, increasing skills and providing guidance on how to sell solutions from Avaya. For those partners requiring specialist knowledge, bespoke on-boarding ‘fast-track’ sessions are also available.
The support programme is backed up by a dedicated team of 20 employees with knowledge and expertise across sales, technical and marketing. This recently expanded team will provide an increased focus on Avaya supporting existing enterprise partners and also reaching out to new and existing partners in the SMB space.
