avsnet has celebrated its financial end of year with substantial growth figures and the appointment of Cisco and unified communications specialist, Billy Haining, as the company’s new Head of Sales: Network & UC.

Following the company’s acquisition of Besttel earlier this year and its continued expansion, Haining has been brought on-board to head up the company’s network, UC and data offering. With a strong background in managing network infrastructure sales teams, Haining’s appointment bolsters avsnet’s internal Network and UC division while building upon avsnet’s strong heritage in delivering market-leading business communication technology.

With over 15 years telecommunications experience earned at companies Total Network Solutions and Intrinsic Technology, as well as working at Cisco where he headed up strategic accounts including some of the largest government divisions, Haining’s specialism is further proven by the wide range of successful projects he has won and delivered into multiple sectors, including Government, Health, Commercial, Financial, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Legal and Retail.
