Award for Chess Marketer

Chess Telecom’s Marketing Manager – Alison Bowett – has been ranked in a list of the North West’s top 100 Marketers.

The list, which was published by media website How-Do in association with Tangerine PR and Mando Group, is designed to celebrate the region’s best marketing talent, judged on criteria including enhanced profitability, job creation, innovation, inspiration and ones to watch.

The judging panel were impressed with Alison’s hands on approach to marketing preferring to keep all tasks, except printing, in house. By doing this Alison has managed to create outstanding, demonstrable and measurable marketing campaigns delivering real return on investment and justify continued growth of the team.

The judges were also impressed with Chess’ run of awards success. In the last 2 years, Chess has picked up awards from organisations such as the National Business Awards, Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Communications Services as well as being a Sunday Times Best Companies and Tech Track 100 company.

“I was very pleased to be listed,” said Alison. “You have to be nominated and voted for and I’ve been racking my brains to think who did it! I have worked for Chess for three years now and our marketing has come on leaps and bounds in that time. I am lucky to have an excellent team. We focus on keeping all tasks within Chess so we can maintain consistency and also so we can continuously improve and develop our own skills at the same time. We are currently refreshing our SMARTER Partner marketing collateral to make it increasingly easy to sell Chess products. Our mobile dealer pack, for instance, was only launched a couple of weeks ago and has already been a huge success.”
