AWS SaaS Boost is now available on GitHub

Amazon has announced AWS SaaS Boost is now publicly available on GitHub. The open source tool helps software developers migrate their existing solutions to a software-as-a-service (SaaS) delivery model.

The product was announced at the company’s annual re:Invent summit in December and offloads development effort by accelerating application transformation to SaaS. AWS added that, throughout the preview period, it has received interest from developers working at large software companies, startups, and systems integrators around the world.

Writing on the AWS Open Source Blog, Adrian De Luca, head of partner solution architecture, global ISV build programs at Amazon Web Services, explained, “Our objective with AWS SaaS Boost is to get great quality software based on years of experience in the hands of as many developers and companies as possible. Because SaaS Boost is open source software, anyone can help improve it. Through a community of builders, our hope is to develop features faster, integrate with a wide range of SaaS software, and to provide a high quality solution for our customers regardless of company size or location.”

NTT Data announced a three-year collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services in Feburary 2020 and has SaaS services that complement this new product. Aater Suleman, vice president of cloud transformation at NTT DATA, said, “AWS SaaS Boost is a feature-rich offering that helps ISVs reap these rewards faster, saving weeks, if not months, of time moving to a SaaS model when combined with NTT DATA’s SaaS services.”

Payments for the new solution can be automated through pairing AWS SaaS Boost with Stripe. Kenneth Chestnut, global head of GTM technology partnerships at Stripe, added, “Users can quickly customise their pricing models and fully automate payment support using Stripe. We are excited to work with AWS to help power internet businesses globally with the launch of AWS SaaS Boost.”
