Axis Gains Market Share in EMEA according to new IMS report

IMS Research’s latest report on the video surveillance equipment market across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) has confirmed that Axis Communications has grown its share of the network camera market in the region from 42 per cent to 46 per cent.

Within the security cameras category of the report which includes all cameras (analogue and network based) IMS ranked Axis as the number three brand within EMEA, an equal position to last year’s report but with a marked increase in overall market share from 5.8 per cent to 8.3 per cent. IMS also forecasts that the combined worldwide market for network cameras is set to continue to grow at an annual rate of 40 per cent.

In the same report** IMS ranks all vendors that provide video surveillance equipment, including digital and analogue security equipment such as cameras, recording solutions and video servers/encoders. Axis was ranked as the number four brand within EMEA, moving from seventh place in the previous study.
