Azlan and HP plan to make D2D backup and storeonce deduplication seminar a racy affair

Azlan, the enterprise networking business unit of Computer 2000, is presenting a seminar and roadmap briefing on HP’s disk-to-disk backup solutions and StoreOnce deduplication technology at the Williams F1 Conference Centre near Wantage in Oxfordshire next week.

“HP’s D2D Backup Systems with HP StoreOnce deduplication are designed for efficient daily onsite backup of data centres and rapid data restore and disaster recovery. They present a great opportunity for partners as customers struggle to keep up with data growth”, says Nigel Dunn, Azlan UK Director of HP ESSN.

“The growth of data is leaving many organisations struggling with complex, distributed, and costly data protection. HP StoreOnce is the ideal solution and a relatively straightforward one for resellers to sell, deploy and support. Backup has always had a bit of a reputation for being somewhat soporific – but D2D backup is quite different and with deduplication it becomes much faster and effective. The value that resellers can deliver – and the money that they can make – by selling these solutions is anything but sleep-inducing and that’s something we hope to underline by holding the event at such a high-profile and exciting venue.”

As well as covering current technologies, the event will also provide resellers with an ‘NDA’ look at HP’s plans for the further development of its D2D backup and StoreOnce technology. There will also be a session on what’s new in HP Data Protector v7.0 and Azlan will announce details of a special reseller sales incentive on HP backup solutions.

The event takes place on Wednesday 20th June, with a sales session in the morning (9.00am to 13:30pm) and a technical / pre-sales session in the afternoon (12:30pm to 16:00pm). Delegates will be treated to a tour of the centre during the lunch break or after the afternoon session.
