Azlan Named Worldwide Distribution Services Innovation Partner 2011 By Cisco

Distributor Azlan has been named Worldwide Distribution Services Innovation Partner 2011 by Cisco in recognition of the investments and success it has achieved in its Felix online quoting, ordering and contract renewals system for Cisco SMARTnet Services.

Since it was launched in April last year, Felix has enabled thousands of Cisco Partners to drive increased revenues and generate repeat business from Cisco SMARTnet Services. It was developed solely by Azlan to enhance the value and potential of Cisco SMARTnet Services opportunities for reseller partners and is, to date, the only system of its kind available in Europe.

Commenting on the award, David Harvey, European Director of Cisco at Azlan, said: “Azlan prides itself on being a true value-added distributor for Cisco and its partners and Felix is a prime example of the way in which we have invested to grow and develop our Cisco business in Europe over the past 12 months. A growing number of Cisco resellers throughout the European region are making regular use of Felix to streamline the quotation process for SMARTnet Services and increase their business potential. It is having a very positive effect and we are pleased and honoured to have been named as Cisco Global Service Innovator of the Year. Azlan will continue to develop Felix and to invest strategically in areas where we can help partners to elevate and accelerate their Cisco business.”

The Cisco Distribution Services Innovation Award recognises a distributor that has demonstrated exceptional collaboration and innovation in the services business, as well as excellence in growing reseller mindshare, increasing selling activities, and on-boarding of resellers driving services

Commenting on behalf of Cisco, Jason Boxall, Head of European Distribution, stated: “Azlan has developed a unique set of tools which enables resellers to streamline processes, reduce costsand maximise new business and renewal opportunities for Cisco Services contracts. The Felix system is fully integrated with Cisco’s own ordering systems and provides complete end-to-end integration, from the identification of opportunities to quoting, ordering and confirmation of the Cisco Service contract. These tools have contributed to a 41 percent growth year on year.”

Felix makes the complete life cycle of SMARTnet Services contracts visible to resellers. Itenables them to generate Cisco SMARTnet quotes and orders faster and more accurately and helps to alert them to opportunities for contract renewals with registered customers. The system integrates with Cisco’s own ordering systems to provide resellers with a complete end-to-end solution, from the identification of opportunities to quoting, ordering and confirmation of the Cisco SMARTnet Service contract.

Using Felix, Cisco partners can produce a final quote, ready to be passed onto the customer, within minutes, saving time, improving their chance of winning business. Changes are applied instantaneously and all quotes are validated to help ensure that the right service is being offered for the right product. This also reduces the potential for errors. Quotations and order certificates are delivered in a professional electronic format and can be translated into local languages and currencies as required.

As well as SMARTnet Sevices, Azlan is a leading value-added distribution partner for Cisco’s UCS Data Centre solutions, Unified Communications, Telepresence Video and networking infrastructure solutions in Europe. With a presence in 13 European countries, Azlan continues to be the value-added distribution partner of choice for vendors looking to maximise their opportunities in the enterprise and mid-market sectors throughout the region.

The Distribution Services Innovation award was presented to Azlan at the Cisco Partner Summit, which took place recently in New Orleans, USA.
