Azlan Opens up Data Centre Potential for VARs

Azlan, the enterprise networking business unit of Computer 2000, has signed a distribution agreement with Emerson Network Power that will give resellers access to the full range of the vendor’s uninterruptible power supplies and cooling systems for data centres and business-critical networks and servers.

The agreement expands the choice available to resellers addressing the increasing need for organisations to provide higher levels of assured availability and protection for vital systems. The full range of Emerson’s Liebert uninterruptible power supplies, cooling and enclosure solutions for racks and individual servers and PCs will be available from Azlan with immediate effect.

Andrew Shepperd, UK Director of Azlan, says that the agreement will help resellers to add extra value and develop growth opportunities. “The data centre is a real area of focus for the enterprise at the moment and power protection and cooling are high on the agenda. Emerson has an excellent line of products and a reputation to match.

“This agreement gives reseller partners the opportunity to enhance their data centre propositions and give customers additional options. Azlan will be working with Emerson to ensure that VARs have every opportunity to deliver that extra value and develop higher margin business with Emerson power management and cooling solutions.”

Commenting on behalf of Emerson, UK Channel Manager Eben Owen, states: “We’re delighted to have signed this agreement with Azlan. In doing so, we are adding a further dimension to our distribution strategy in the UK and providing our reseller partners with the opportunity to take advantage of the excellent pre- and post-sales expertise that Azlan delivers and – as part of the Tech Data Group in Europe – the tremendous stock-holding, delivery and credit resources that the company offers to resellers.”

Emerson has recently launched a new partner programme in the UK and is eager to encourage as many resellers as possible to engage in the scheme to maximise their opportunities with rack and power management solutions in this fast-growing area of the market.

The company’s product range includes the NX series of advanced power management solutions for computer rooms and data centres and the GXT2 series of UPS units, which are designed specifically for mission-critical applications. Also available from Azlan is the PowerSure Interactive 2 range of rack and tower protection systems for network, telecom and servers, and smaller solutions for mid-sized data centres and individual servers, workstations and PCs.
