Azlan strengthens its HP ESSN team

Azlan has made a further investment in building its expertise in HP technologies appointing John Ward as HP ESSN (Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking) Business Manager. Ward brings more than 25 years experience working in technical, sales, marketing, and management roles for both end-user and channel companies. He has spent the last nine years working as a senior HP Business Manager at Arrow ECS and he is also well known within the HP Storage community.

In his new role, Ward will be focusing primarily on enhancing the value Azlan brings to the resellers and on storage business development. He will work alongside a three-strong team that includes Channel Development Manager William Bond, Storage Business Development Manager John Gregory, and Huw Parry, who has recently joined Azlan from Westcon, also in a Storage Business Development Manager role. This experienced team of experts will act as a focal point for resellers and work closely with key HP partners, providing pre-sales support and business planning, and ensuring that resellers can extract maximum value from the investment and commitment they have made in becoming an accredited HP ESSN partner.

Mark Walker, Director Converged Infrastructure at Azlan, stated: “This is a further and incremental investment in our HP ESSN team and a clear demonstration of our sincere intention to grow and develop our HP business by providing HP partners with access to the very best expertise and support. Our role as a specialist value-added distributor is to enable and encourage resellers to develop their own capabilities, build a strong converged infrastructure value proposition business and drive new business opportunities. John brings tremendous knowledge and experience to Azlan and his appointment adds further strength and depth to our capabilities around HP ESSN solutions.”
