Azzurri Is Catalist For Public Sector Telecoms Procurement

Managed services provider Azzurri Communications has today announced five successful Catalist accreditations from the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) as part of the new Telecom Networks Framework

Azzurri is accredited for Infrastructure and Connectivity; Network Analysis and Billing Audit Services; Networking Equipment; Voice Calls and Lines; and Third Party Maintenance. Each accreditation will last for 4 years, enabling UK public bodies to benefit from simplified procurement of Azzurri’s extensive telecoms solutions.

Ensuring competitive pricing and best service for public bodies looking to acquire telecoms services and products, the accreditation process is designed to simplify the historically complex purchasing process. With protocols such as pre-approved terms and conditions in place, the Catalist accreditation enables public organisations to either find a trusted partner, like Azzurri, directly from the Catalist website, or invite a select number of accredited suppliers to tender.

Azzurri’s extensive knowledge and experience spans the public sector, with customers including Bolton Primary Care Trust, Derbyshire County Council, Barnsley Direct General Hospital and University College London Hospitals. Azzurri’s understanding of the sector’s requirements contributed significantly to receiving the accreditations this year, as Jason Standerwick, Sales and Marketing Director explains;

“This is a rigorous process of assessment into all aspects of Azzurri’s business credentials, evaluated in areas critical to the public sector such as environmental compliance, security and our pricing mechanisms. Our experience of working closely with public sector customers certainly assisted in submitting a successful application for these accreditations and we are delighted to be recognised as a leading provider in this space.”
