Bailey Teswaine Secures Three-year Contract with BT

Bailey Teswaine has re-signed its structured cabling solutions and managed services contract with BT. The company, which has provided BT Global Services’ UK customers with structured cabling and managed services since 2003, has extended its contract for a minimum of three years, with an option for an additional two years beyond the initial period.

Structured cabling provides the backbone to a range of networked IT solutions delivered by BT to businesses across the UK. The extension of BT’s partnership with Bailey Teswaine will help ensure that BT’s customers continue to receive high-quality installations at very competitive market rates, enabling them to increase operating efficiency throughout their communications infrastructure as well as reducing costs.

“The rise of the IP network has meant that structured cabling that can deliver a broad range of services, is managed centrally, and has the flexibility to adapt as the business changes has become a critical part of a business’ infrastructure,” said Graham Peacock, Product manager structured cabling and services, BT Global Services.

“We set very stringent SLAs which enable us to guarantee quality of service to our customers. Not only has Bailey Teswaine delivered on every one of these, enabling us to have confidence in what we can deliver to the customer, it is also unique in its ability to support all areas of the market from single outlets to full project installations. The company’s flexibility and willingness to operate as a partner rather than just a supplier has also enabled us to address new markets and we are working collaboratively to develop new solutions for the market.”

In addition to supporting the package solutions delivered regionally, Bailey Teswaine Managed Services also supports a number of BT’s biggest corporate customers. The Managed Services team delivers bespoke support packages, handling structured cabling, adds, moves and changes and onsite maintenance and support. The company also works in conjunction with BT’s laboratories at Adastral Park to co-develop new solutions around emerging technologies including 10GigaBit Ethernet connectivity and Intelligent Infrastructure Management and works with BT development teams on vendor product certification. Currently 60 Bailey Teswaine employees work with BT on a full time basis.

“This partnership goes beyond the standard outsourcing relationship,” says Tony Henderson, Managing Director at Bailey Teswaine. “Our people are a trusted part of the BT team, working alongside them in solution development and providing critical support to some of BT’s largest customers. We are delighted that BT has chosen to continue working with us and look forward to working to strengthening the partnership still further in the months and years to come.”
