BalaBit, an IT security innovator specialising in log management and advanced monitoring technologies, has announced a distributor agreement with Exclusive Networks, to expand the company’s footprint in the UK. BalaBit made this announcement during its annual Global Partner Summit 2015 organized in its R&D Centre with more than 100 participants from all over the world.
Based on an earlier successful cooperation in Germany, BalaBit and Exclusive Networks extended the contract to several additional European countries including among others France, BeNeLux countries and the UK.
The company’s appointment of Exclusive Networks as sole distributor for the UK and additional European countries follows the company’s partner strategy of appointing one Value Added Distributor (VAD) to work with the local partners comprising System Integrators (SI) and IT Security Integrators. BalaBit has a limited number of certified local partners in each market, and supports them with continuous training, joint marketing campaigns and events, offering strong partner margins.
BalaBit received USD $8 million from Europe’s first dedicated investor in the security and data sector, C5 Venture Capital firm based in London, during 2014 to accelerate its product development and expand its market share in the UK, Scandinavia and US. Currently, BalaBit has customers all over the globe including banking and financial organisations telecom organisations and institutions from the government sector. In the UK public references include academic institutions, companies from the gaming industry. BalaBit also recently launched Blindspotter, a next-generation IT security tool that uses real-time user behavioural analytics to help stop APT attacks or identify malicious internal activity across the network.
As part of its channel drive, BalaBit recently appointed Robert Billington as UK Channel Manager to grow and manage partner activities in the UK. Robert has over 20 years’ experience of winning enterprise business through channel partners across EMEA. Prior to joining BalaBit, Robert honed his Enterprise sales skills as a Regional Sales Manager for Network Instruments.
