BCH Celebrate 10th Birthday

BCH Digital is celebrating its 10th anniversary this April; marking they say a decade of innovative telecoms solutions from the Manchester based company.

Having started out in 2000 with just a handful of clients, BCH now provide specialist call-handling solutions for hundreds of household brands and blue chip companies from across the UK; Managing millions of minutes per month for businesses from the retail, entertainment, finance, travel, health and public sectors.

Established by Rob MacDonald and Andy Haigh, the two programmers spotted a gap in the market for bespoke, hosted call-handling solutions and set-up BCH. Within a few years BCH gained recognition as one of the fastest growing companies through the Fast Track scheme and has continued to go from strength to strength, recently relocating its Head Office to Portland Tower, Manchester, to accommodate its ever expanding team.

Growing the business through recommendations and word-of-mouth, and having retained many of its original accounts, founder Rob Macdonald believes that strong relationships with its clients and staff have been key factors in the company's continued success.

Rob Macdonald, founder and Director; “We’ve always listened to our customers’ needs and worked with them to design solutions that not only simplify theirs and their customers’ lives, but are also simple to set up and use. It’s that two-way communication that has helped us develop innovative products tailored towards the different needs of different markets.”

Since the company's inception 10-years ago, business communications has been revolutionised; from the uptake of Broadband (which also celebrates 10-years this year) and 3G to dramatically increased mobile phone usage and capabilities. Another important factor in BCH's success has been its ability to adapt to the evolving market, and in 2003 the company applied its technical expertise to SMS Solutions. One recently satisfied client is Electoral Reform Services, now the only balloting organisation to offer both telephone (voice) and SMS voting from its own offices.

Entering the company's second decade and continuing as they started, BCH’s team of expert programmers have been busy developing new products. One new solution will be aimed at saving businesses time and money, and in order to cater for the changing job market enable staff to work remotely.

Andrea Wilson-Brown, Managing Director: “It’s a great achievement moving into double figures and with the recent restructuring and investment BCH is in excellent shape to continue its success.” She continued, “We have a wonderful and very proactive team here, always looking for new ways to improve telecoms and SMS systems from both the end-user’s point of view and client feedback. They’ve been working as hard as ever over the last few months doing just that on some exciting new services we’ll be launching shortly.”

BCH will be announcing further details of the new products in May.
