BCH Digital’s Care Challenge!

Telecoms provider, BCH Digital, is delighted to announce its T-shirt sponsorship for CARE International’s ‘CARE Challenge’ Series.

CARE International is one of the top three aid agencies in the world, focusing on long-term development projects to help some of the world's poorest communities, as well as responding to emergencies. Through the 2011 CARE Challenge Series, a series of sponsored physical challenges, the organisation aims to raise over £800,000 for the charity’s essential work overseas, helping 82 million people in over 87 countries find a route out of poverty.

The sponsorship arrangement is the first of its kind for BCH, who are also providing CARE International with inbound and outbound call services via a reseller. BCH also hope to boost the charity’s funds further by competing in the New Media Challenge, covering the distance of a marathon by hiking, biking and canoeing, on 3rd September in Staffordshire! Funds raised will go towards long-term development projects to help some of the world's poorest people in the world find a route out of poverty.

The most recent CARE challenge was the gruelling Scottish 3-Peaks Challenge, which saw oil and gas company, Anadarko, climbing three mountains in the Scotland: Ben Tee, Ben Ledi and Ben Cruachan, all in the target time of 24 hours.

So far, more than 1,600 companies and a total of over 16,000 participants have taken part in CARE International's events. For those interested in taking up the gauntlet or wanting to compete with BCH in the New Media Challenge, a fundraising guide and online resources are available to participants with fundraising workshops to help your team really make the most of all opportunities. Andrea Wilson-Brown, MD at BCH Digital: “CARE International do great work for communities around the world, such as the emergency medical support and shelter they provided after the recent floods in Pakistan. It is an honour to be able to support them in what they are trying to achieve. I’m sure the BCH team will do us proud!”
