Comms Business Magazine understands that many senior executives at Nortel are set to lose their jobs in the new year.
Among them are thought to be Chief Marketing Officer Lauren Flaherty, Chief Technology Officer John Roese, Global Services President Dietmar Wendt and Executive Vice President Global Sales Bill Nelson.
The news also includes the announcement that a further 1,400 redundancies will be made at the same time.
The lay offs are to take effect from 1 Jan 2009.
