BlackBelt Smartphone Security Suite now available as a Retail Pack from Micro-P

Mobile Apps Warehouse have partnered leading mobile distributor Micro-P to distribute its BlackBelt Smartphone Security Suite. Working in partnership with BlackBelt, Mobile Apps Warehouse has developed the BlackBelt Retail Pack that can easily be sold in store or in-line by eCommerce and Multiple Retailers. The Smartphone Security Suite provides consumers with 3 mobile software products in 1:

Firstly a “purpose built for mobile” anti-virus program that operates identically to that on a PC, but minimises processor and battery drain, whilst scanning files faster than its competitors and features auto updates to protect users from all the latest threats.

Secondly an anti-theft component allowing remote device lock or wipe should you temporarily or permanently lose your Smartphone, that will secure all your personal information including any data stored on removable memory cards . In the event that the SIM card is changed the device will auto-lock and provide location and information about the new user’s SIM, thereby greatly increasing the possibility of recovering the device.

And lastly an anti-spam application that allows the User to block and remove bothersome, unwanted or malicious SMS and MMS messages.

Mobile Apps Warehouse Managing Director, David Hinc said: “The massive adoption of Smartphones in the UK has been mirrored by the growth in mobile malware, leaving consumers open to attack, often from highly sophisticated software designed to steal from, or defraud the user. Criminals see the Smartphone market as easy pickings by comparison to the PC space where now everyone runs anti-virus software. With more and more users conducting on-line transactions from their Smartphones, given the current low adoption rates of mobile anti-malware, the risks are obvious. Similarly the Anti-theft component offers an additional layer of protection to a User’s personal information in the case of loss or theft. An industry colleague told me recently that used Smartphones were selling in certain African countries for more than their new equivalents, because of the value of the personal data on them that made identity fraud so easy to organised criminals.”

The BlackBelt Smartphone Security Suite has an SSP of £24.99 for a 12 month single user licence and provides retailers with a simple bolt-on or additional sale with healthy margins and minimal hassle.
