Bootle Steps into Channel Strategy Role

Plantronics has today announced the addition of Adam Bootle to the Strategy Partner team in the position of Partner Account Manager.

Adam had been at Plantronics for over five years previously holding the role of Corporate Sales Manager (Midlands) before taking up in his current role. In his new role as Partner Account Manager, Adam will be responsible for helping to drive Plantronics’ channel sales and ensuring that its products remain the devices of choice for consumers and the number one recommended audio communications provider by IT vendors.

Adam Bootle expressed his delight on taking on the new role: “I’m looking forward to taking on this new challenge and helping Plantronics during a period of growth. I hope to utilise my vast background in sales to support our channel partners and better help them to understand the needs and demands of the end-user – it’s all about driving sales through education”.

Speaking of his duties and responsibilities Bootle said: “While driving sales is a core part of the role there is a lot more to it. The aim is to get partners to think ‘Plantronics first’. Unfortunately businesses don’t deem headsets to be the first or main business products on their list. However Plantronics’ products are more than just headsets, they are enablers of smarter working and collaboration, and the most important part of my role will be to educate people on this and change their current perception”.

Paul Dunne, Head of Channel Sales – UK & Ireland at Plantronics said the following on Bootle’s appointment “I’m delighted to welcome Adam to the team. He is a great ambassador for the company and brings a huge amount of knowledge and experience with him. His addition also reflects the continued success and growth of Plantronics’ partner programme and we’re confident that Adam will be the perfect person to drive this to new heights”.
