After the e-commerce launch, all of Borri’s products will be available directly from the website from the 6th of October 2009 onwards. This will include a number of uninterruptible power supplies, mainly for the small applications and desktop ranges. Due to the level of customer service Borri offers, larger applications (for example large server applications) will be available, but through an enquiry system to ensure that the customer receives the best possible solution for their power issues.
Borri’s online presence has been changing rapidly over the past number of months, with the update of the Borri website, the installation of an e-commerce section and in the coming months re-branding a number of websites, in order to raise the brand of Borri in the UK. All of these movements show how Borri are continuously improving online, and minimising the gap between themselves and the market leaders.
The managing director of Borri UK believes this is a great step forward for Borri online. In the websites early life, only UK based customers will be able to use the website, however overtime this will expand, raising Borri’s global profile. While Borri have been in existence for 77 years, they hope the e-commerce section will continue to raise the profile within the UK. Existing Borri customers can also use this website, when they need new accessories or small applications and can have the new equipment on their doorstep within days.
The e-commerce site also offers a new option for the industry allowing the customer to view the accessories linked to the UPS once added to the basket for purchase. This system saves time and increases the ease of use for the website. Along with other projects Borri are running, their ambitions are starting to show in the power protection industry. Over the coming years Borri UK aim to greatly improve their market share within the UK and strong foreign markets.
