Brand-Rex Launches New Range of Cat6plus

Structured and speciality cabling solutions manufacturer, Brand-Rex, has announced the launch of new Cat6Plus components called the Keystone Modular System. The range consists of a shielded Keystone jack, modular panel and two Snap-in-Jack modules, all exceeding the requirements of 10GBASE-T.

The modular system supports quick, tool free, improved connectivity and enables a quicker installation time and improved redundancy during maintenance. The system has been tested and certified by the independent international test laboratory, Delta.
The shielded Keystone jack is fully backward compatible to combine easy installation with premium performance and complies with all requirements for current and proposed 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications. The innovative housing design, also available in a metallic shell, supports fast and superior wire terminations without the need for a punch-down tool. Compact dimensions allow 24 shielded jacks to be positioned in one row of a 1U panel ensuring easy termination and labelling. The jack is also fully compatible with all UK and continental style faceplates and products.

The new 19” Brand-Rex, shielded or unshielded, Keystone modular panel is a rack mounted Snap-in-Jack panel that has been designed with a double skin to provide flush mounted jacks on one level. The rear of the panel has been plated for grounding to the chassis on shielded systems and a strong removable cable manager allows easy installation of the jacks. All outlets are numerically identified with an additional writable surface for ease of port naming.

Two Snap-in-Jack modules are available, one angled (50 x 50mm) and one in-line (45 x 45mm), both have integrated dust caps and are fully compatible with European faceplate systems and floor boxes. The single and double modules have been designed to accept the standard Brand-Rex Snap-in-Jack but are fully compatible with the ‘Legrand Mosaic’ and continental UNI style faceplates.
