Broadsoft Interoperability Strengthens Yealink’s Position in Hosted Arena

Specialist VoIP manufacturer Yealink has secured interoperability certification with Broadsoft for its SIP handsets in a move which strengthen the brand’s position in the growing hosted services sector.

All models in Yealink’s SIP-TxP range have been formally validated by Broadsoft for use with its popular BroadWorks platform. Certification confirms that the Yealink models support all of the features offered by the latest BroadWorks release including shared call appearance, busy lamp field, shared call appearance, multiple call arrangement network conferencing, device feature synchronisation and DNS SRV Lookup.

Yealink IP Phones have been used by some of Broadsoft’s customers, such as KPN, Telefonica, TO2, PCCW, Bezeq and SingTel.

“This is just the latest in a line of interoperability certifications to be secured by Yealink and is strategically important given the popularity of the BroadWorks platform, particularly within the hosted services space,” commented Charles Williams, Yealink UK’s Head of Distribution Channels.

Last month Avaya confirmed that the Yeaklink handsets were compliant with its landmark IP Office 500 system whilst other manufacturers to recently confirm compatibility include Positron, VoiPNow and 3CSX.
