BT adds that by supporting Lync within BT’s global IP network, customers gain access to the latest telephony, instant messaging, conferencing and presence software from Microsoft. in a secure and fully-managed basis. They can then benefit from BT’s end-to-end experience in providing business-grade voice, video and unified communications, with higher quality of service levels, network performance management, and continuous maintenance.
BT has launched Lync-based managed services in the UK and will be coming soon to the USA, with other regions to follow throughout 2011. BT Onevoice, Microsoft Lync and BT’s wider collaboration portfolio also play an integral role in BT’s Asian expansion plans with multiple new launches planned for 2011.
In addition, all of BT’s corporate voice services are eligible for its Accumulate discount structure.

This latest initiative follows the recent announcement that BT had launched BT Onevoice SIP trunking, which connects domestic voice services with BT’s global Onevoice network.
