BT Re-names Indirect Channel

In January this year, BT’s indirect channel operations moved into BT’s Service Provider Group, a specialist group which delivers services to the ISP community, following Mark Cornell’s move into BT Phonebooks.

A spokesperson for BT told Comms Business Magazine:

“Phil Purssey and his team continue to lead BT's indirect channel and manage its partner base, and Mark's move has had no impact on BT's channel strategy, day-to-day operations or its commitment to partners. Phil now reports into Martin Roddy, director of BT's Service Provider Group, and will be working closely with Martin to look at how BT's indirect channel operations can continue to develop in line with market needs.

To reflect its new position within the organisational structure, BT’s indirect channel operations will now be referred to as BT Indirect Partner Sales. All BT's partners have been notified of these changes and believe that this is a positive move for the channel and BT.”
