Already BT Wholesale is trialling the delivery of live broadcast quality TV over broadband via PTA (PPP Termination and Aggregation) mode.
This Autumn it plans to extend its TV Connect trial to include a ‘Layer 2 Tunnelling Protocol (L2TP)’ variant.
Communications Providers (CP) interested in participating in this extended trial should contact Mandy Bowman (mandy.bowman@bt.com) by Friday 31 August 2012.
BT Wholesale would also like to hear from CPs that may be interested in an “interconnect only” variant of TV Connect although a trial of this variant is yet to be scoped.
Establishing broadband as a TV platform is an exciting development in our industry and BT Wholesale looks forward to hearing from CPs wishing to be in the vanguard of this development.
