CableNet BSkyB Accredited Trainer Status

CableNet Training has become an accredited training centre for BSkyB to assist in enhancing the broadcasters’ induction training programme for its field engineers and business partners.

CableNet is providing the 10-day induction programme to support BSkyB and its business partners who supply field engineers for the installation of Sky+ set-top boxes. The course, which culminates in an exam and assessment, includes practical and theoretical training, as well as health and safety issues for new recruits to BSkyB’s field operation teams. BSkyB engineers and business partners will attend the training programme at CableNet’s training headquarters in Suffolk, where purpose-built practical suites provide the opportunity to learn skills in real scenarios.

Robert Jones, BSkyB’s national training manager said “With a proven record in providing quality training, and a long heritage in training engineers in the art of cable installation, CableNet are well placed to provide the high level of seamless training support we require”.

Andrew Stevens, CableNet’s managing director commented “We are delighted to have been tasked to provide support for the training required by BSkyB and its partner companies. BSkyB has experienced extensive growth and popularity over the last few years, giving consumers a comprehensive choice of entertainment, and we look forward to assisting the company with its future growth”.
