Capstan has appointed Kevin Barker as Business Development Manager and Karl Girdler as Reseller Support Manager within Capstan’s expanding Reseller Sales support team. Kevin is widely known within the channel having previously worked for both Siemens and Samsung in Sales roles, and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Karl is well known by existing LG/Nortel Resellers as a technical support engineer and will draw on his indepth knowledge of the LG/Nortel solutions to support Capstan growing Reseller base. Karl and Kevin will work closely with Scott Elder, Capstan’s Sales Director, and other members of the Capstan team.
Scott Elder, commenting on the appointments, looks forward to capitalising on Capstan’s growing investment in supporting the channel. “We have seen a shift over the past six months with Resellers looking at their portfolio and making a conscious effort to seek new Vendor Partners. Resellers are distancing themselves from the consolidating giants of the Telecoms channel who often offer lower margins, less effective technical support and unclear Vendor strategies.
