Cellnex opens three new offices across the UK

Cellnex UK has opened three new offices as part of its continued investment in wireless connectivity across the UK. The new sites are in Leamington Spa (pictured above), Manchester (pictured below), and North Lanarkshire.

The company said the new locations will support its goal of providing digital equality across the country, through the provision of upgrades to 4G and 5G infrastructure, smart communications networks, street level infrastructure and private networks.

In addition, the regional hubs will help Cellnex UK deliver localised support to customers and increase the opportunity for partnerships and collaborative projects across each region.

David Crawford, managing director, Cellnex UK, explained, “Our three new offices will allow Cellnex UK to deliver an increasingly localised service and contribute to economic growth and digital innovation in each region.

“The regional approach will help us to accelerate our work in bringing connectivity to everyone, everywhere in the UK. I’m very excited to begin using the spaces to collaborate with our colleagues, customers, partners and suppliers.”

Cellnex UK is part of Cellnex Telecom, an operator of wireless telecommunications and broadcasting infrastructure across Europe. The company has invested £6.1 billion in its UK operations over the last 18 months. It owns 9,000 active sites across the UK.

On Friday, the Competition and Markets Authority approved Cellnex’s acquisition of 6,000 sites from CK Hutchinson, provided it sells at least 1,000 towers to ensure it does not limit competition.
