Central Scoops Siemens Best Enterprise Solution Award

Reseller Central Telecom have been named as one of the top performing channel partners for 2005 by Siemens Communications in recognition of their outstanding sales, innovative approach to marketing and excellence in after sales service.

The company, which has worked in partnership with Siemens for the past 16 years, has received the Best Enterprise Solution for the innovative IP Solution that it designed and implemented for West Suffolk College in Bury St Edmunds.

Central’s solution at West Suffolk College was an end-to-end IP solution with a 300 IP extension HiPath 3800 version 5 and one of the very first H3800’s to be installed.

The college, which is one of the leading providers of post 16 education and training in the region, sees itself very much as a flagship enterprise and offers a wide range of learning opportunities – from full and part-time education to university courses, apprenticeships or workforce development and tries to attract traditional and business students from the local area.

With this in mind, the board required a cutting edge communications platform that would help when encouraging local businesses to send staff to the College for courses.

The college operates on one main site and four extension sites. Thanks to Central’s solution, they can now communicate seamlessly. The solution has been so successful that the college has now become a reference site for both Siemens and Central.

This award is the second major award from Siemens over the past 12 months. Last year, Central was awarded the prestigious Siemens Partnership award in recognition of its work in the communications sector with Siemens over the past 15 years.
