Centrex charms the Irish

A North East-based business is expanding its operations in Northern Ireland after experiencing a 70 per cent increase in business from the country this year.

Centrex Services, which repairs and maintains business IT equipment, has applied the same lean model in Northern Ireland to assist it in delivering an identical range of services and methodology to its Irish customer base, as the UK equivalent.

Mike Heslop, owner of Centrex Services, says, “We have been offering field service support to our Irish customers from the UK for many years. As this support increases it now makes sense to increase our presence in Northern Ireland and mirror our successful leansource methodology.

“This expansion will allow us to improve service levels to customers, with quicker turnaround times, reduced stock levels and shipping costs and localised repair management linked to our end to end support process.

“With our increasing customer base in Northern Ireland, setting up an Irish operation will provide the infrastructure to enable our stand alone centre to offer first class support while allowing Centrex Services to continue to expand in this developing market.”
