Next Generation Data (NGD) announced today a dedicated colocation data hall at its NGD Europe tier 3+ carrier-neutral mega-data centre near Newport, South Wales.

Opening on 15th October, the availability of NGD’s new colocation hall has been brought forward to meet demand from its growing numbers of channel partners for a highly secure, scalable and price competitive solution for housing single or multiple racks.

Purpose-designed for allowing racks to be easily installed and operational within hours, the new hall also offers a number of other benefits including an unprecedented supply of power for allowing high density solutions, the latest cooling and energy management systems, and a wide choice of on-site high bandwidth connectivity. 24/7 service monitoring, technical support and private conference facilities are also available.

As part of the company’s channel launch promotion, resellers installing racks by 31st December will receive a three months rent-free period plus a free tablet PC with orders placed before 30th November.

“The success of NGD’s channel partner programme launched in May has already created strong demand from resellers for secure, price-competitive colocation facilities, prompting an earlier than forecast opening of our new hall,” said Steve Davis, NGD’s sales director. “Our special rent-free promotion will help our partners cover their sales costs and get up and running as quickly as possible. As a way of saying thanks, we are also giving away a tablet PC with every rack ordered.”

Supporting in excess of 130 racks, the new colocation facility is the ninth data hall to be completed at the giant 750,000 sq ft NGD Europe data centre which opened three years ago. This increases NGD Europe’s current total capacity to over 1200 racks. All previous halls at NGD Europe have been custom built for major global enterprise organisations requiring individual self-contained facilities.
