Channel Telecom team walking the MoonWalk

A team from Channel Telecom will again be taking part in the annual MoonWalk to be held in London on 11 May. The gallant girls (and some boys!) will be walking 26.2 miles, wearing bras (men included) starting at midnight to raise money for various breast cancer charity projects and campaigns.

Wearing decorated bras is the trademark of the grant-making breast cancer charity WalktheWalk. The Channel Telecom team will join over 15,000 other walkers taking part with bras beautifully decorated in everything from animal prints to rock ‘n roll paraphernalia and this year there’s a sci-fi theme. The iconic MoonWalk midnight marathon starts at Battersea Power Station with the team walking the whole 26.2 miles.

Vicki Antoniou, Partner Account Manager for Channel Telecom and one of the MoonWalk fund raisers says, “It is a truly inspirational event to see all the women in their bras. Walking through the city and seeing the dawn break over the London Eye and Houses of Parliament is worth the training and hard work because it’s such an amazing sight, and we raise a lot of money for a good cause. Last year the Channel Telecom team and friends raised over £5,000 in sponsorship and this year we’re aiming to top that.”
