Once a charity has registered with CharityTalk, any supporter or friend can sign up to the home phone and broadband service, which will enable the charity to receive regular donations. This desire to support the not-for-profit sector stems from CharityTalk’s own passion for good causes: Employees recently completed the 3 Peaks Challenge by climbing the three tallest UK Mountains within 24 hours in aid of a local charity.
With the number of UK-wide charitable donations down 11 per cent at the start of 2010 from the same period last year, CharityTalk feels businesses have a social responsibility to aid charities and not-for-profit organisations.
