Chess are celebrating the graduation of two of its people following their successful completion of an Institute of Leadership & Management Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring qualification.

Jennifer Wallace, Sales Support Manager and Neil Phipps, Corporate Credit Control Advisor have both excelled at Chess, taking advantage of the opportunities provided working at one of the UKs fastest growing businesses.

Jennifer stated “This is the second Leadership and Management qualification I have gained at Chess and it has not only given me an excellent platform for my future but has also enhanced my managerial skills and knowledge of leading a team. I have to thank Chess for financially supporting me through these qualifications, they’ve created a great place to work every day, which is reflected in the level of service we provide our customers.”

John Ross, Programme Tutor from South Cheshire College acknowledged the work both candidates had submitted, “This qualification requires application of theory with practical situations of coaching and mentoring within Chess over a period of time. It’s built on previous ILM programmes undertaken through Chess and South Cheshire College and demonstrates effective work based learning.”

Anne Binnie, HR Director at Chess commented, “As an opportunities provider, our growth allows our people to progress their careers, develop their knowledge and skills along with gaining reward and recognition helping to maximise their potential. The growth and success of our people ensures the growth and success of our business. We expect all our people to take responsibility for their performance and personal development and Jennifer and Neil are great examples of this commitment.”
