Chess has relaunched its Blueprint For Success to engage its people and drive growth in 2013.

David Pollock, founder and Chief Executive at Chess commented “Our Blueprint For Success has been written with the help of everyone at Chess. It sets out the reasons why we want to grow, our vision for the future, the critical areas we focus on and the importance we attached to our culture and values. We use it every day to inspire, guide, motivate and focus our efforts.”

Since the Blueprint For Success was first published in 2005 Chess has undergone exceptional growth, consistently ranking in the Sunday Times Fast Track, Tech Track and Profit Track.

Pollock continued “Growth is imperative for us, it creates opportunity for everyone at Chess to progress their careers, to develop knowledge and skill and to gain reward and recognition. As a fast growing business it’s critical that we retain and nurture the unique Chess culture and our one team spirit, that’s why we engaged our entire business in writing our Blueprint.”

Over a 2 month period Chess undertook 12 feedback sessions, 4 management workshops and 2 senior management days to ensure all of their people played their part in the creation of their Blueprint.

Stephen Dracup, Managing Director at Chess, stated “We believe it takes great people to deliver great service, and so being one of the UK’s Best Companies to Work For and one of the best companies to be a customer of, go hand in hand. Our people understand and are totally committed to our core values of Quality and Spirit, set out in our Blueprint. Quality reflects our commitment to build a business we can be proud of, Spirit reflects the mindset, energy and behaviours of our people, our passion and the positive effect it has on others. As proud as we are of our past success we are excited by our future plans.”
