Chess recently celebrated the launch of their charity single, ‘LOVE’.

Written and performed by the people at Chess, the track features over 60 employees and was released on the 20th May on iTunes to raise funds for the East Cheshire Hospice in memory of Julie Wright, Chess’ former Operations Director.

Chess celebrated the release of ‘LOVE’ on iTunes and their music video on YouTube with their very own dress down pop-star day. The day was hosted at Chess’ head office encompassing the one team spirit and culture of Chess with ‘LOVE’ themed day activities aimed at raising funds for the Hospice.

Stephen Dracup, Managing Director at Chess & Julie’s partner stated, “We are passionate about our unique one team spirit at Chess and never has it been more apparent than today. The effort and lengths our people have undertaken over the last few weeks for the East Cheshire Hospice has been inspirational to myself and I’m sure Julie would feel the same way. I am very proud and humble to be part of such a great business.”

Chess Chief Executive David Pollock commented: “The dress down pop day was the official launch for the ‘LOVE’ track and the response we received from our people was outstanding, with fantastic costumes and charity games. We encourage our people to play their part in the wider community and their efforts will have made a significant contribution of reaching our 12K target for the East Cheshire Hospice.”

Chess had further reasons to celebrate after 26 members of the team successfully completed the BUPA Greater Manchester Run on May 26th in support of the Hospice raising vital funds for the charity.
