Chess, the Alderley Edge based provider of business voice and data solutions, has seen a dramatic change in its employee’s health and fitness since the launch of the Chess Slim 4 Success Club last October.
Those taking part in the club have so far lost a combined total of over 330 lbs as part of a healthy living initiative. Anne Binnie, HR Director at Chess commented, “It’s in our culture to provide a healthy, pleasant and safe place to work. The Slim 4 Success Club, started by a group of our people, promotes healthy eating, practical knowledge on nutrition and helps boost confidence. It’s been a great success with over 20 people seeing significant health improvements since joining.”
Chess were recently named by the Sunday Times as one of the UK’s 100 Best Companies to Work For, a survey based on employee feedback recognising businesses which excel at workplace engagement.
