Claranet has been formally recognised as a Premier Partner in CloudHealth by VMware’s Partner Program, joining a select group of just eleven cloud service providers globally – with only two in the UK – to offer this level of expertise.
Purchased by VMware in 2018, CloudHealth is a cloud operations platform across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. The platform enables analysis and management of cloud cost, usage, security, and performance centrally for native public clouds.
Claranet’s Premier Partner status reflects the technology provider’s leading skillset and experience to manage cost, usage, performance, and configuration of application infrastructure across multiple cloud environments for their customers.
Commenting on the new status, Mark Turner, Hybrid Cloud Services Director at Claranet, said: “As more and more companies look to operate in the cloud, the challenge is not only to achieve a smooth migration of workloads but to ensure the right applications are in the right place and fully optimised for cloud.”
“The CloudHealth platform is an important tool to help us offer the best service to our customers on Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google Cloud. The benefits of cloud managed services are wide-ranging and include deep reporting and analysis to control migration costs, track usage, and identify any infrastructure that is overutilised so costs can be reduced even further.
“Significant attention to detail and understanding is needed to operate successfully in the cloud, but managing costs and performance is even more complex when a multi-cloud solution comes into play. This is where we can help our customers to migrate their applications and infrastructure to the right hyperscaler platforms, and still stay in control.”
Commenting on Claranet’s new Premier Partner status, Bob Kilbride, Senior Director of Global Channels at VMware added: “Our MSP partners continue to be a key investment area for us. We’ve evolved our partner program in order to deliver even better services and go-to-market support to our partners who are driving growth and leadership in their respective markets.
“Claranet is a prime example of a provider with deep cloud expertise and a proven track record of helping large companies migrate to and use public cloud infrastructure – ultimately unleashing the cloud’s true potential for business transformation. We look forward to working in close partnership with Claranet so that their customers can reap the maximum rewards of operating in the cloud.”
