ClearCloud hits £600k run rate in first quarter of trading

ClearCloud, the newest arm of British hosting firm UKFast, has hit £600,000 run rate within its first full quarter of trading.

The business specialises in delivering high-quality managed support and migration services for public cloud hosting from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.

Headed by former AWS Global Architect Matt Bibby, ClearCloud has secured a series of impressive client wins and is set to hit its ambitious sales target for 2018, despite only billing since September.

Clients already consuming managed cloud services through ClearCloud include a financial services organisation, a number of promising software startups and a global gaming company.

UKFast CEO Lawrence Jones said: “I love the startup phase of a business. Whilst there’s fear and uncertainty, the drive, passion and camaraderie somehow help building something special.

“What sets ClearCloud apart is the culture of world-class British support that is ingrained in our culture at UKFast. Matt and his team are doing a brilliant job of adding their own spin to the new business.”

ClearCloud is based at FastForward, Tech Manchester’s incubator space at UKFast Campus, alongside a growing number of startups.

ClearCloud MD Matt Bibby said: “It’s been a brilliant start that’s only been made possible by plugging into UKFast systems and people. The result is that ClearCloud has all the clout of a major established brand with the agile feel of a startup. It’s a formula that’s working incredibly well and our customers are feeling the benefit.

“It’s a steep learning curve and so much more dynamic than any other role I’ve held. I’ve been lucky enough to bring in a couple of senior techs from UKFast and their skill and experience in the managed support we deliver gives me massive confidence for the future.”
