Cloud services are now tailor-made for Syscom

Syscom partners with Rise to offer customers hosted services -

Rise, a provider of hosted services, has today announced that it will supply integrated business software solutions firm, Syscom, with a hosted services platform, in order to support its customers demand for a faster, more cost effective IT infrastructure.

Syscom were looking to expand its product portfolio without the need of adding to its existing infrastructure. It sought a Cloud services provider who could offer flexible, bespoke solutions that would allow its customers to easily migrate to the Cloud. One customer in particular was school uniform supplier, School Trends, which was looking to replace its existing infrastructure with a faster more cost effective IT system.

According to Daniel Armitage, head of Syscom Technical Support, more and more SME’s are following in School Trends footsteps and migrating to a hosted platform: “SME’s have become increasingly aware of Cloud services and the benefits that can be seen by migrating to a Cloud infrastructure. The economic climate is still very uncertain and consequently firms don’t have the financial resources or manpower available to keep scaling their IT infrastructure. Cloud computing represents an opportunity to offer customers, a flexible platform that allows them to scale their IT infrastructure depending on usage – customers don’t want to be bogged down with expensive upkeep charges – they want to pay one fixed monthly charge. Moving to the Cloud lets them achieve this.”

Daniel continued: “We’d spent a lot of time researching hosted services and had very strict requirements in terms of what we were looking for from a partner. Being a Microsoft Gold ERP Partner and award winner immediately meant Rise stood out from the crowd, and the more we spoke the more we liked what they had to say. In addition, initial concerns we had over data migration and security were addressed straight away, calming any fears we had. We’ve been thoroughly impressed with the service so far and the ability to meet our customer’s expectations. Rise’s partner model has enhanced our business portfolio and has allowed us to take the next step to accommodating customer demand.”

As a result of the partnership, Syscom customers, such as School Trends, are no longer restricted by incumbent software solutions, and now have an infrastructure in place to support growth.

Alex Hilton, managing director of Rise, commented: “Increasingly, we are seeing more and more companies waking up to the benefits of Cloud services and the partnership with Syscom is just another example of this. We are thrilled they’ve chosen Rise to expand its service and we are even more pleased that its customers are reaping the benefits too.”
