Cloud Telephone Makes Billing Engine Available to Resellers

Cloud Telephones claims it is making it easier for SMB resellers to offer hosted telephony and connectivity by making its billing engine available to them on a white-label basis.

The barriers to market have been removed. Best-of-breed products from vendors such Gamma, TalkTalk, O2 and BT are available through the portal at wholesale prices. The billing and collections are all automatic and can be co-branded. Cloud Telephones will also act as the first line of support on the services it offers, making life even simpler for resellers.

John Carter, Managing Director of DMSL, says the aim is to make it really easy for resellers to actually drive new revenue streams from hosted services, without taking on any of the complexities. “Anyone can offer hosted or cloud-based services but calculating the charges every month and supporting end user customers is a problem. Resellers don’t know where to start when it comes to billing and there is no point selling something if you don’t know how you are going to manage and support customers.

“Through Cloud Telephones we are offering simple telephony and other cloud-based services and with the billing platform, we’re making it really easy for SMB resellers to deal with the admin’ side. Aside from actually selling the services into their customers, we are doing it all for them and passing on a regular stream of income. All they need to do is stay in touch with us, make sure they look after their customers, and follow-up on any new business opportunities and leads.”

Pre-defined margins on services will be split between resellers and Cloud Telephones. An on-going end-user lead generation programme is driving new business opportunities with new leads being distributed to existing partners on a geographical basis. Partner resellers are also listed on the Cloud Telephones website.

As well as a range of hosted VoIP services, Cloud Telephones offers connectivity options as well – from enterprise-class broadband to leased lines, EFM, GEA and other Ethernet-based products.

“Connectivity is the most vital service to win up-front now that the market is moving towards hosted and managed services. We will help resellers secure that too. If you own customer’s connection to the web, it will naturally fall to you to provide the services they want to run across that connection. We’re enabling resellers to deliver both and thus making it really easy for them to move into the cloud and managed services.’
