Hosted Exchange provider trumps UK competition’s 20,000 seat average

Cobweb, a cloud services provider, announced today that it is the first UK Hosted Exchange provider to exceed 100,000 user mailboxes. With the other UK providers averaging 20,000 seats, this is a significant milestone that showcases Cobweb’s ability to deliver mailboxes to the SMB and mid-market at volume and with a low turnover of customers.

Julian Dyer, Chief Technical Officer at Cobweb, said: “The proliferation of devices that support Hosted Exchange, including smart phones and tablets, has given rise to an increase in mailboxes across the board. Cobweb’s growth has far exceeded its competition. This is testament to the strength of its secure business class email solution.”

Cobweb’s Hosted Exchange is an email messaging and collaboration service designed to help organisations communicate securely and effectively. The service offers mobile, remote and desktop email access, enabling businesses to communicate whether in the office or on the move.

Dale Vile, CEO & Managing Director at Freeform Dynamics said: “We are seeing more organisations looking at where various cloud options fit into their IT delivery activities. Sometimes the motivation is to reduce the pressure on internal IT, sometimes it’s because providers can enable a more robust service, but often it’s simply to gain quicker and more convenient access to advanced solutions.”

Going forward, Cobweb will be extending its platform to support Microsoft Lync. This will enhance Cobweb’s existing support of the full spectrum of business communications, including voice and video.
