Cobweb select SSE Telecoms’ Hampshire data centre to support their infrastructure

Cobweb, the independent hosted Microsoft Exchange provider, has selected SSE Telecoms’ Tier 3+ data centre in Hampshire to house their technical equipment. This new strategic move will assist Cobweb in their expansion plans over the next three years.

Cobweb required technical space in a highly resilient facility to house ten racks at 5kW minimum power capacity to help with their growth plans. SSE Telecoms was selected due to its flexibility in providing an end-to-end solution. The solution facilitated data centre space and the appropriate network connectivity reach and product availability to provide Cobweb with a diverse and resilient solution that is scalable.

During negotiations Cobweb and SSE Telecoms worked together to understand the initial requirement and how this may change over the three-year term to ensure their technical equipment is able to maintain load securely, consistently and in line with customer demand.

“Cobweb is pleased to be working in partnership with SSE Telecoms. This will establish a strong UK-based data centre capability to service our growing base of UK customers and partners with a Cloud Unified Communication solution based on Microsoft Lync and Exchange 2013,” commented Julian Dyer, CTO, Cobweb Solutions Ltd

Commenting on the partnership, Chris Jagusz, Managing Director of SSE Telecoms, said: “We look forward to being part of Cobweb’s expansion programme and being part of their business’s journey. SSE Telecoms will always be there for technical support throughout the term to ensure Cobweb’s ambitions are realised within our facility.”
