COLT wins €60m data centre deal with Fidelity International

Colt has won a contract to provide Fidelity International Limited with a dedicated managed data centre facility. The contract, worth around €60m over 10 years, will involve planning, developing and managing the highly secure 1,400 square metre facility, based at Colt's London data centre.

Colt was selected for this project because of its proven track record in supplying high quality managed data centre services, and its ability to provide a new facility for Fidelity that will be tailored to its exacting requirements.

The project involves four phases: design consultancy to scope and plan the centre; fitting out of the facility; installation of racks and servers and finally the on-going management and maintenance of the infrastructure over a 10 year lifespan, including providing a helpdesk and onsite IT support. The centre is scheduled to be live by the end of 2007.
