Comms Business Awards set to raise cash for Help for Heroes

This year at The Comms Business Awards we are planning to raise as much money as we can for Help for Heroes, the charity which helps our wounded service men and women when they return from battle.

Publisher Miles Bossom said “A friend of mine was seriously wounded whilst serving in the Household Cavalry in Helmand Province, Afghanistan in 2006. He was blown up; shot and received 70% burns on his face and body and is now on a long and painful road to recovery. I believe that Help for Heroes do amazing work to help our wounded troops and that the six hundred representatives of our industry attending our awards would be happy to support such fund raising activity.

Continuing Bossom said, “We will be running a live auction which will include sports memorabilia, concert and sports tickets, experience days and much more”.

Adept Telecom is the first company to step up and donate a prize for auction. Managing Director, Ian Fishwick told Comms Business “Help for Heroes is a great charity which raises money for our wounded service men and women. These are the guys and girls that put their lives at risk every day to keep us safe back home; I hope more companies from our industry join with us to show how much we appreciate them”.

Adept are offering two tickets to The FA Community Shield at Wembley, the first game of the season, FA Cup Winners v Premier League Champions.
