Comms-care Launch IT Disposal Service.

Comms-care, leader in the provision of channel network and IT maintenance have recently set up a disposal and recycling service designed to assist their resellers in disposing of IT equipment free of charge in a safe, secure and environmentally friendly way.

Comms-care IT disposal services offers resellers the opportunity to dispose of all IT equipment which includes desktops, notebooks, servers, storage, networking, monitors, printers and computer peripherals. The aim of this service is to provide resellers with a cost effective one stop shop solution that gives them the opportunity to dispose of obsolete IT equipment in a secure and safe way that is sensitive to the environment. Comms-care IT disposal services have also partnered with registered IT distribution charities in developing countries; this will allow communities in these areas to benefit from reusable IT equipment.

With the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive coming into force this July along with the data protection act of 2000, sensitive information and IT equipment must be disposed of in a secure manner. Failure to comply with these regulations could result in companies being severely punished.

“Scott Yates, Managing Director at Comms-care says: “With environmental issues at the forefront of today’s society it is only right that the IT industry acts responsibly and efficiently with all types of IT waste. By offering Comms-care IT disposal services to the channel resellers can be confident in providing a complete service to their customers. Not only can they sell equipment and support packages but they can now also provide a service that securely and safely disposes of equipment when it becomes redundant.”
