Comms-care Release Promising Financials

MSPs
Comms-care’s focus on developing support services for the UK’s top IT firms continues to drive up revenues and profits. Revenue for the year grew by 25% to £19.6 million from £15.6 million, bringing CAGR for the past five years to 25.4%. Operating profit increased by 44% to £3 million from £2.1 million, reflecting Comms-care’s emphasis on delivering higher value IT services for its customer base.

The proliferation of new technologies such as virtualisation, cloud computing, wireless, remote working and the issues around data storage are bringing new opportunities to the IT channel community, but technical support for these complex platforms is becoming more difficult to provide from a single team based within a channel partners business.

Commenting on the results, Comms-care Managing Director, Ben Davies said: “This was another successful year for Comms-care as we continued to deliver on our strategic plan to be the leading channel only IT services provider. We have invested heavily in technical expertise over the last 12 months to ensure we are in the best position possible to help our channel partners to effectively outsource the IT services they provide to their clients to Comms-care. With the acquisition of Platform Consultancy in June, we are now able to offer an even wider portfolio of professional services for them to provide to clients, including additional propositions around Microsoft, VMware, Citrix and NetApp technologies.”

Commenting on the future direction of the business, Comms-care Chairman, Peter Lloyd said: “We are delighted to report continued growth for Comms-care, which is a positive reflection of how much importance we put on customer service and going the extra mile for our partners and their customers. The great work undertaken by the team in the last financial year laid the foundation for both the acquisition of Platform Consultancy, which will enable us to provide our partners with a wider range of high value professional services, and the formation of our strategic partnership with Kcom. The technology industry is extremely fast-moving and we know that we cannot stand still – we need to continue investing in our technical expertise and ability to provide the services that our reseller partners need to succeed.”
