Commsworld wins gold

Commsworld have been awarded HP Gold Partner status, joining a select group of businesses recommended by the world’s largest IT services company as experts in their field.

They are one of only five Scottish companies - and 120 across the UK - with the distinction.

The communications market today is rapidly evolving, and all organisations are moving towards an environment where voice & unified communications are examples of applications that could reside in a virtualised data centre and are delivered to the organisation end users over any IP network.

The partnership with HP allows Commsworld to provide and manage the converged IP infrastructure that supports these applications, ensuring that customers can benefit from a single point of expertise and management from the server to the user, wherever they may be.

Commsworld CEO Ricky Nicol commented “This is a key step in our evolution as a specialist and a leading provider of converged networks, unified communications and cloud services solutions. HP is the largest IT services company in the world and their products and services complement our own expertise in voice and IP infrastructure.”

Gold Partner status will allow Commsworld to work closely with HP’s Enterprise Server, Storage and Networking division to ensure that end-to-end solutions based on converged infrastructure technologies are effectively designed, implemented and managed.

Dave Adams, Head of Inside Channel Sales at HP’s ESSN Division, supports this view. He said: “In a virtualised environment it is critical that all elements of the infrastructure are working in optimised harmony with each other; the technology has moved from vertically-focused silo’s to the need for a horizontal and seamless converged infrastructure from the server to the user.

“Commsworld’s expertise in virtualisation, unified comms and IP networking lets them bring the whole solution together for their clients. HP in Scotland is excited by Commsworld’s achievement of Gold Partner status as it allows us to work closely with them, locally, to deliver the HP Converged Infrastructure vision to both commercial and public sector organisations in Scotland.”
