Computerlinks is Largest Check Point Training Partner

Computerlinks, the distributor of IT security and Internet technology solutions, has announced it has been accredited by Check Point as its largest global training partner. Computerlinks saw a dramatic increase in demand for Check Point training during 2007 seeing its training revenue soar by 36%.

Katie Lyon, Product Manager, Training Services at Computerlinks said, “Security remains a top IT priority for UK businesses as they face increasing pressure to protect their IT infrastructure and data. As a result, there are significant opportunities for skilled security resellers that are able to take a holistic approach to security, which is why Check Point¹s solutions are compelling. With our experience in e-security, our technical expertise in Check Point¹s solutions and our position as an accredited training provider with the Institute of IT Training, we are able to help resellers gain the very best security skills and knowledge,” Lyon adds.

Amy Hughey, Education Services Manager, Check Point Software Technologies said, “Computerlinks has shown consistently strong growth over the past few years and its position today is a reflection of its commitment to providing quality training and great customer service.”

Compliance and the expanding use of IP-based communications continue to drive security investment. Companies are also more aware of the cost of a security breach and the impact it can have on market confidence and customer trust, as highlighted by some very high profile cases during 2007.
