Computerlinks Launches On-Site Hardware Support for Check Point

Computerlinks today announced it is extending its On-Site Hardware Replacement Support Service to include Check Point’s UTM-1 unified threat management security appliances.

"We are pleased to extend our four hour on-site hardware replacement service to cover Check Point UTM-1 appliances," said Catherine Boyd, Product Manager Professional Services at Computerlinks. "Our on-site service is designed to help resellers enhance their end-user hardware support offerings. With a guaranteed response time, the service provides another layer of resource for resellers, enabling them to deliver optimal service support for their Check Point UTM -1 customers."

Under the support service, which is available to resellers in the UK and Ireland, Computerlinks will arrange for an engineer to arrive at the end-users site with a replacement security appliance within a guaranteed response time of four hours, on up to 24x7 coverage.

With increased competition in the security appliance market, being able to provide competitive service offerings helps resellers retain and attract customers. Computerlinks is able to facilitate all aspects of the support cycle; from diagnosis to despatching an engineer or replacement part; to ensuring the necessary changes are made to the support contracts, after the appliance is replaced. Each SLA is tailored to the specific needs of the reseller or end user. Computerlinks can take calls directly from the end-users on behalf of the reseller, or as second line from internal support departments.

Nick Lowe, Regional Director for Northern Europe at Check Point said, "Check Point welcomes this new service. It is a great example of Computerlinks taking the lead on innovating new value added services for our partners and further increasing the strength of our UTM-1 product line."
