Comstor Slash Training Costs

Resellers can reduce the costs of training courses with discounts of up to 45% off the price of standard course rates through a new initiative from Comstor. It has introduced a ‘Training Summer Pass’ scheme, offering a discounted rate of £195 per day (plus VAT) when purchasing ten or more full days of training. All training courses must be booked with Comstor and used by the 30th September 2006. Courses include the new Cisco Partner specialisations.

The distributor says their scheme offers great flexibility as the ten days of training could be used by one employee, or ten employees could attend a one day course. As a distributor, Comstor is unique in offering a comprehensive range of in-house training courses - nearly a thousand reseller delegates have attended courses organised by Comstor in the first six months of 2006.

Comstor’s purpose built training centre adjacent to its Cirencester head office offers IP Telephony, Security and Wireless LAN training, include a hands-on lab with latest Cisco equipment installed and running on a dummy network. It also has training facilities located at Holborn in London.

As reported earlier, Comstor has also been accepted as a Pearson VUE authorised test centre. Its offices join the Pearson VUE network of hundreds of convenient test locations across the UK. Pearson VUE offers students secure, distraction-free environments in which to take professional examinations, on behalf of leading companies such as Cisco and Microsoft.

Matt Hathorn, training manager at Comstor UK commented: “We’re inviting resellers to accelerate their training this summer; our pass scheme offers great value for money, and with a low fixed price per day it makes it simple to budget for and purchase courses.

“Comstor makes training convenient and enjoyable – and our Pearson VUE accreditation now means you can even take a wider range of professional exams at our centre.”

Luton-based convergence specialist ONI has recently signed up for the training pass. John Sands, Customer Support Manager at ONI said “We have achieved Cisco Silver Certified Partner status and we are working hard towards gold. We’re delighted with the wide range of courses at fixed prices, and we are taking advantage of this to allow my team to reach Gold faster.”
